Dahlia
Honeysuckle

Not everything in life can look it's best. From the cherished memories that twinkle for a single moment as the light slips through to those that cannot bear close scrutiny; memories are more closely related to those beloved green things we use to mark significant events in our life cycle than we may believe. Be they flowers or leaves, blossom or bark, the natural world is used by all cultures to mark crucial periods in a lifetime. But like a memory, often we can only see a superficial colour and occasional scent from a world of many layers. A mere glimpse before the seasons sun and rain absorb the greenery in readiness for another year. Photographing the transient qualities of our world requires honesty: an honesty to respect fragility and lustre in equal measure and express poignancy without words. Fine artistry can steal beauty and relevance from any quarter, and at some point, everything can have a moment to reveal its best.
